Gosh, what a few months! I'm so sorry for being so quiet recently. This is the busiest time of the year for us florists, as we have to scale the three peaks of Christmas, Valentines Day and Mothers Day. Each year they just seem to get closer and closer together!
So... Let me start with the beautiful wedding of Louise and Robert. Don't they just look lovely? They tied the knot at the Crown Hotel in Spring, last year.
The bouquets feature mainly those amazing Lullaby lilac roses (which I am am predicting will be a favourite amongst brides this year, due to the Pantone colour of the year - Ultra Violet) so fingers crossed I get to work with more of these!

Due to the seasonal colour scheme, Louise knew she wanted mainly lilac: both in flowers and the bridesmaids dresses!
The flowers I choose are: lullaby roses, lilac freesias, lilac flowers, white tulips, purple veronica and lilac clematis touched with eucalyptus. This was to I achieve a very "spring-like" aesthetic, which I think I managed to capture!!
The bridesmaids' bouquets were flourished with extra white roses, but still including lilac elements from the bridal bouquet.
Bridal bouquets are so beautiful, it would seem a waste to just have them laying around, so I supplied jam jars for the bridal bouquets to be displayed around the cake and top table.
ouise liked the idea of using large goldfish bowls for the centre pieces, and the lilac flowers inside give a beautiful contemporary look. whilst still playing with more traditional colours and flowers.
I hope you enjoyed reading this little blog about this lovely weding - and I'm sure you'll be hearing from me very soon!
